CCFI GENEVA, SWITZERLAND
The Christian Church Fellowship International (CCFI) Geneva is a product of almost a year of prayer by Pastor Romy and Sis. Judith. Several difficult circumstances and events led them to pray seriously for God’s will and direction for their lives.
Being Christians for more than 20 years and faithfully serving the Lord both in the Philippines and in Geneva, the Lord answered their prayers and led them to pioneer the ministry in Meyrin, the place where they’ve been living for 16 years.
In November 2006, the first CCFI Geneva worship service was held at their apartment with 20 attendees. That began a journey that took the church from holding its worship service in this apartment for four months and then moving out to rent a church at the Centre Paroissial Oecumenique de Meyrin. After a year, the church moved to Châtelaine at the Outreach Deliverance Centre where it held its services for three years after enduring some unpleasant experiences from the neighborhood. In May 2013, the church moved to a much better place in Bouchet at the Centre Chretien du Bouchet where it is now holding its evening Wednesday prayer meeting, Sunday Worship Service and Bible Studies.
From 20 members, the church grew to its current membership of 70 people after seeing off some families leave to transfer to other countries for work or marriage or eventually moving back to their home of origin.
In its six years of existence, God has expanded its ministry both locally and internationally by enabling it to support 17 pastors in the Philippines, one in Fiji and one in Nigeria. It has already sent and graduated 30 students in a Bible school in the Philippines and is currently supporting 15 Bible Students. It is also regularly supporting Radio 74 and Open Doors ministry.
CCFI Geneva is affiliated with CCFI Philippines under the leadership of Bishop Pat Alfred Hermosilla.
