Statement of Faith
Also known as a confession of faith, this is our statement of the shared beliefs of a community which summarize its core tenets.
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
The Holy Scripture. Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God acts in history (2 Peter. 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 199:105; Prov. 30:5-6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; I Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12).
THE NATURE AND FALL OF MAN
Man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality, the power and freedom to think, to will, and to. Through created free beings, each is an indivisible unity of spirit, soul and body, dependent upon God of life and breath and all else. When our first parents disobeyed God, they denied their dependence upon Him and fell from their high position under God. The image of God in them was marred and they became subjects to death. Their descendants inherit this fallen nature and its consequences. They are born with weaknesses and wickedness. But God in Christ reconciled the world to Himself and by His Spirit restores in penitent morals the image of their Maker. Created for the glory of God, they are called to love Him and one another, and to care for their environment (Gen. 1:26-28; Ps. 8:4-8; Acts 17:24-28; Rom. 5:12-17;2 Cor. 5:19; I John 4:7-8)
THE LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
In Christ's life of perfect obedience to God's will, His suffering, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means of atonement for human sin, so that those who by faith accept and holy love of the Creator. The death of Christ is substitutionary and expiatory, reconciling and transforming. The resurrection of Christ proclaims God's triumph over the forces of evil, and those who accept the atonement assures their final victory over sin and death. It declares the Lordship of Jesus Christ, before whom, every knee in heaven and on the earth will bow (John3:16; Isa. 53:1; 1Pet.2:21; Rom. 1:4; John2:2; Col. 2:16; Phil. 6-11)
STEWARDSHIP
We are God's stewards, entrusted by Him with time and opportunities, abilities and possessions, and the blessing of the earth and its resources. We are responsible to Him for their proper use. We acknowledge God's ownership by faithful service to Him and our fellowmen, and by returning tithes and giving offering for the proclamation of His Gospel and the support and growth of His church. Stewardship is a privilege given to use by God for nature in love and the victory over selfishness and covetousness. This virtues rejoice in the blessing that come to others as a result of His faithfulness (Ge. 1:26-28; Haggai 1:13-11 Mal. 3:8-12; I Cor. 9:9-14; Matt. 23:23; Rom. 15:26-27).
THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH
We according to His promise, look for new heavens and new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness" (II Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:22).
THE HOLY TRINITY
There is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation (Duet 6:4; Matt 28:19; Cor. 13:15: Eph. 4:4-6; 1 Pet. 1:2; 1 Tim. 1:17; Rev. 14:7).
THE SALVATION OF MAN
Man's only hope of redemption if through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
a.Condition to Salvation:
Salvation is received through repentance towards God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing or regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Luke 24;47; John 3:3; Rom. 10:13-15; Eph 2-8).
b.The Evidence of Salvation's
The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life righteousness and true holiness (Eph. 4:24; Titus 2:12)
THE ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH
Water Baptism
- The ordinance of Baptism by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declared to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newsness of life (Mat. 28:19, Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4).
The Holy Communion
- The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements bread and the fruit of the vines is the symbol of expressing our sharing the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ (II Pet. 1:4) a memorial of His death (I Cor11:26); and a prophecy of His second coming (I Cor. 11:26 and is enjoined in all believers "till He comes."
Marriage
- The covenant of marriage is entered between two people with the public declaration (vows) of love and fidelity. When two people enter into this holy commitment, they pledge their faith and trust to each other and to God. The gathered assembly surrounds the couple to express their support of this covenantal act and to offer their prayers and praise to God for the commitment being enacted for the well-being of the whole human family. Together with the couple, the whole assembly through the Holy Spirit gives witness to the love of God in Christ Jesus. Gen. 2:18-25.
THE MILLENIAL REIGN OF CHRIST
We believe the second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to rule on the earth for a thousand years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and establish universal peace. (Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:47; Rev. 1:7; Rom. 11:26-27; Isa. 11:6-9; Micah 4:3-4
THE LORD’S DAY
The Sunday worship service is the most important of all the meetings of the church. Here the members gather week by week to unite in worshipping God in a spirit of praise and thanksgiving, to hear the World of God, the gather strength and grace to fight the battles of life, and to learn God's will for them in soul-winning service. Reverence, simplicity and promptness should be characterized the whole service.
THE CREATION
God is Creator of all things, and has revealed in the Scripture and authentic account of His creation activity. The Lord made the heaven and the earth and all living things upon he earth. Thus, He established His abundant love and infinite power as a perpetual memorial of His completed work of Creation, given domination for the world, and changed with responsibility to care for it (Gen. 1:2; Ex. 20:8-11; Ps. 19:1-6, Heb. 11:3).
THE BLESSED HOPE
We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are lived and remain unto the coming of the Lord. This is the imminent and blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rom. 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51-52).
ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH II
Annointing of the oil
- The primary purpose of anointing with the holy anointing oil was to sanctify, to set the anointed person or object apart as qodesh, or "holy" (Exodus 30:29). Now the anointing of the oil is used to, to heal the sick James 5:14-15. To set apart, (1 Kings 19:16, Psalm 105:15, 1 Chronicles 16:22)
Divine and Physical Healing
-We believe that Christ's death on the cross provide healing for the human body, in answer to believing prayer (Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)
Sanctification
- We believe the Scripture teach a life of holiness. Sanctification is a separation from that which is evil and a dedication unto God. We believe all believers should earnestly pursue sanctification by walking in obedience to God's Word. We further believe that the Christians is able to live a godly life by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Heb. 12:14; I Pet. 1:15; Phil. 2:12-13).
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe there will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead be raised and judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment which is the second death (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:34; Rev. 19:20; 20:11-15;21:8)
THE WORSHIP
The worship of God is the highest, holiest experience possible to men, and the greatest can should be exercised in planning for this service. "It is your duty to some skills and study and planning into the matter of conducting religious meetings how they shall be conducted so as to do the greatest amount of good, and leave the every best impression upon all who attend." Our God is a tender, merciful Father. His service should not be looked upon as a heart-saddening distressing exercise. It should be pleasure to worship the Lord and to take part in His work
As we express our gratitude, we are approximating to the worship of the Father of the heavenly hosts. Let us with revent joy come before our Creator, with thanksgiving, and the voice of melody (I Cor. 16:2; John 4:23-24; Heb. 10;25; Acts 20:7; I Cor. 10:16; Rev. 1:10)
